Honda Activa 5G Design and Build

The new Honda Activa 5G looks essentially the same as its predecessor. The automatic scooter retains its silhouette and there is hardly any change in this regard since the first model that was launched over one and a half decades back. The new model now gets chrome accents on the apron that makes it feel more premium than before. Also, the new LED headlamp not only look good but offer better illumination in the dark.

Honda Activa 5G Riding Ergonomics

The riding position of the new Honda Activa 5G is exactly the same as the previous generation model. The scooter offers an upright posture and hence, you will not feel tired even after spending a considerably longer time on the saddle. There is a decent amount of legroom on the floorboard and hence, you can place your feet comfortably while riding.

Honda Activa 5G Engine

The new 2018 Honda Activa 5G gets the same 109cc, BS-IV compliant engine from the previous generation model. The refined motor is good for delivering 8 hp of power and 9 Nm of torque and it is mated to an automatic gearbox. With this setup, the scooter hits a top speed of 83kmph.

Honda Activa 5G Transmission

The scooter comes mated to an automatic transmission and hence, you do not need to change gears every now and then. This offers convenience to riders especially females.

Honda Activa 5G Braking and Safety

The new 2018 Honda Activa 5G gets 130mm drum brakes at both ends just like the previous generation model. These work fine and have a good feedback.

Honda Activa 5G Mileage

The new 2018 Honda Activa 5G offers a mileage of close to 45 kmpl in real world riding conditions. The scooter gets a 5.3-litre fuel tank and hence, you get a range of 240 km once you top up the tank upto its brim.
